The Rising Star is an annual recognition for the most promising technology company younger than five years.

The Rising Star is part of Deloitte's Technology Fast-50 announcement, which classifies the 50 fastest growing technology companies that exist five years or more. The list is currently lead by stock listed company TomTom. The selection of the Rising Star is based on several criteria, such as innovativeness, the power of execution in establishing a leading company in an industry and financial performance. IceMobile was selected by the CEOs of the Fast-50 companies during the gala dinner for the award ceremony on September 28, 2006 in Amsterdam.

The GSM Association Awards reception will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 during the 3GSM World Congress gala dinner at Barcelona's National Palace, where the awards recipients will be named.

The Red Herring list is a selection of the 100 private companies that play a leading role in innovation. Red Herrings lists of top private companies are an important part of the magazine's tradition of identifying new and innovative technology companies and entrepreneurs. Companies like Google, eBay and Skype were spotted in their early days by Red Herring editors as those that would change the way we live and work.

The Red Herring 100 Europe list has been selected through a careful analysis of financial data and subjective criteria, including quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development. More specifically, IceMobile has been selected based on, among other criteria, its current and potential future growth and its constant product innovation such as its VideoCall products, which were nominated for the prestigious Mobile Innovation Award by the GSM Association earlier this year.

The Red Herring 100 Europe winners were made public at Venture Market Europe in Paris.

IceMobile has been selected for its continuous innovation in mobile entertainment. During the trade mission, the 400-year anniversary of bilateral relations between Australia and the Netherlands will be celebrated. The celebrations, coupled to the trade mission, will take place in Sydney and will be chaired by both country's Prime Ministers.

The band members will use their 3G videophones to make video calls so that they can take their fans from around the world behind the scenes of their European tour. The content will be offered to fans free of charge.
