Massive press attention for Centraal Beheer iPhone app

IceMobile developed an app that generates a virtual crack across the iPhone touchscreen display when tapped, followed by an avalanche of falling icons. Apple were not amused, unfortunately, and rejected the app, stating that it would cause confusion amongst iPhone users.

Undeterred, IceMobile created a movie of the app, which was widely spread in the Dutch media, resulting in:

• Over 100.000 views of the movie in the first weekend
• Most popular and most viewed on YouTube in the first weekend
• Massive editorial attention in the media and leading radio stations, resulting in the reach of over 1.000.000 people in the first weekend

Over 1.000 people posted comments on blogs and other social media websites
